Clovia's illustrations have been published over a hundred and thirty times in several editorial magazines in both the trade and consumer markets. Using traditional watercolor methods, she paints caricatures and lively animal characters with a quirky sense of humor that appeal to children. Her inspiration comes from studying the original paintings and books of Maurice Sendak, Beatrice Potter, Arthur Rackham, Norman Rockwell, Lisbeth Zwerger, Daniel Adel and her favorite Disney and Dreamworks artist, Pete de Sève.
